Convert Capital One Statements to Excel (Business & Personal)

Capital One offers excellent online banking, but analyzing PDF statements in Excel can be a nightmare. Copied text often pastes into a single column, merging dates and descriptions, making it impossible to sort your expenses.

For Spark Business Users: If you are managing a business, you need your transaction data in QuickBooks or Xero now. You cannot afford to waste hours manually typing data from PDFs.

The SafeStatement Solution: Our tool instantly extracts the transaction table from Capital One PDFs. It separates the “Transaction Date,” “Description,” and “Amount” into clean columns, ready for your accounting software—all processed offline on your device.

Why use SafeStatement for Capital One?

  • Manual Entry: Slow and prone to typos
  • SafeStatement: Automates data extraction
  • Others: Upload business data to cloud
  • SafeStatement: 100% Private (Offline Mode)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I convert multiple months at once?
Currently, the web tool processes one file at a time to ensure maximum privacy and browser performance. However, because it is instant, you can convert 12 months of statements in less than 2 minutes by dragging and dropping them one by one.
Does this capture the “Merchant Category”?
We extract exactly what is visible on the PDF statement. Typically, Capital One lists the Merchant Name (e.g., “Starbucks”) in the description. You can then use Excel’s filter function or QuickBooks’ auto-categorization features to sort these into “Dining” or “Travel.”
Is my Spark Business data safe?
Yes. We understand that business financial data is highly sensitive. SafeStatement uses client-side processing, meaning your business expenses, vendor names, and transaction volumes never leave your computer. You can verify this by using the tool in “Flight Mode.”
