The Problem
For years, accountants, business owners, and individuals have faced a difficult choice when converting PDF bank statements to Excel:
- Option A: Type everything manually (slow and painful).
- Option B: Upload sensitive financial documents to a “free” online converter (risky and insecure).
Most online converters process files on their own cloud servers. This means your private banking data—account numbers, transaction history, and balances—is transmitted over the internet, processed on a machine you don’t control, and potentially stored or logged.
We decided that wasn’t good enough.
How SafeStatement Works
SafeStatement.app represents a new generation of web tools. Instead of sending your file to a server, we send the “engine” to your browser.
We utilize advanced WebAssembly technology and client-side JavaScript libraries (like PDF.js and SheetJS). This allows your own computer’s processor to read the PDF and generate the Excel file.

Don’t believe us? Load our homepage, turn off your WiFi, and convert a file. It will still work perfectly because the code is running entirely on your device.
